Middle And Older Age Men Should Be Using Male Skin Products

I have a confession to make regarding male skin products - I didn’t ever bother using them! Now my deep facial wrinkles are a pain in the you know where?

So why is it that mid to older age men don’t use male skin products? I guess we didn’t really think about skin care and were ignorant of skin degradation issues, and the consequences of skin cell damage particularly dry skin and deep wrinkle formation.

As it happens I have been a golfer for 50 years exposing myself to the very hot sun and intense UV sunrays. It’s only been in the last 25 years that I applied sunscreen and wore a golf cap regularly.

Up until 4 months ago I didn’t ever use any facial skin cream other than sun block out cream. I had very dry and sometimes-itchy skin, large bloated sagging bags under my eyes. Deep wrinkles besides my eyes that run around and under my bags with 2 lines on each cheek running all the way down to join my mouth lines, completing their journey at my sagging jowls.

It’s not a pretty sight; I believe it made me look 10 years older, tired and unhealthy looking. I exercise and am reasonably fit for my age, don’t smoke, eat properly and rarely drink alcohol. Yet my skin ages me badly.

Five months ago I started researching ways to improve my skin without having botox or collagen injections or other types of invasive procedures. I was going to try and find the best skin creme for men I could find that might help me improve my skin.

Now not knowing much about skin creams at the time, and being a bit skeptical in my old age led me to discard most of the products I looked at initially. Honestly, the Internet is great for information and there are some good sites. But, on the other hand some of the crap they dish up to us with dodgy advertising never ceases to amaze me.

My research convinced me there was little merit or benefit in using cosmetic, chemical and synthetic based products that included petroleum, parabens and other substances I couldn’t even pronounce. So I narrowed it down to only natural products with all natural ingredients.

Finally, I settled on a product line from a small New Zealand company that has been regarded as a leader in supplying the best and most active natural substances in their range of supplements for over 9 years. They released their all-natural skin care line about 9 months ago.

What impressed me about their site and products is that it’s all there to see and read. They list all their men and women’s skin care range, itemize each ingredient then explain in detail what it is and what it does. Some ingredients are unique and not available yet to most large manufacturers.

I have been using their active day cream, restorative night cream, eye contour gel and active body lotion for 12 weeks now every day. I have to say I’m surprised and pleased with the results to date. The sagging bags under my eyes are about 40% reduced.

My deep wrinkles have improved and changed shape because the skin has thickened and plumped out a little because of the re-growth of collagen and elastin proteins. I don’t expect to get rid of them completely, but they improve each day.

The wrinkle improvement, plus the moisturizing, nourishing and hydrating of my skin has made a big difference to its texture, smoothness and look. I now look my age and maybe even a little younger and the skin is certainly healthier.

I have written this article in the hope some of you middle and older aged men become more aware of looking after your skin and using male skin products. Don’t let your skin deteriorate to the level mine was only 3 months ago through ignorance about male skin care.

If your interested, at my website I discuss more skin care issues and male skin products, that I have chose to use after careful research and evaluation

Deciding on a good cosmetic surgeon is extremely important because cosmetic surgery is an experts’ job and the precision, care, and expertise with which surgery is handled becomes doubly critical because besides enhancing your appearance the surgeon should ensure that there is no other damage caused in the process.

Most importantly your cosmetic surgeon should ascertain your level of fitness and establish that you do not have any other medical history or conditions that come in the way of cosmetic surgery and result in any untoward incident later.

Take the case of Donda West, former chairwoman of Chicago State University’s English department and mother of famous rap artist Kanye West.  Donda had undergone plastic surgery prior to her death.  Though was Donda was advised against plastic surgery by her first surgeon, Dr. Andre Aboolian, Donda decided to go ahead with the surgery and approached another plastic surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams, of TV show, “Before and After” claim.

Dr. Adams performed tummy tucks and breast reduction surgeries on Ms. West who died later.  According to plastic surgeon Dr. Adams, Ms. West died from a heart attack, pulmonary embolism or massive vomiting.

The question is, if another plastic surgeon, Dr. Andre Aboolian, had refused surgery on Ms. West because of an underlying health risk, how could Dr. Adam’s go ahead with the procedures? Medical board records show that Dr. Adams had two malpractice suits filed against him. According to Associated Press reports, Dr. Adams has a history of DUI, two malpractice suits in the years 2001 and 2003.

Omega 3 and Anti Aging

Did you know our biological clock keeps track of seconds, minutes, days, months and even years? Bizarre as it may sound, our bodies keep track of every split second we spend stressing out. And in this wear and tear, our bodies slowly lose their youthful exuberance and agility. Remember the 2000-year old man back in 60’s? “Nectarines”, he said, kept him “alive and kicking”. For sure, it was only a comic character created by Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner - and the answer does not lie in nectarines; and not even in a strict diet routine, exercise or a lucky pool of genes.

Going under the knife

So, is surgery the only way out? Yes; for instant and radical changes, surgical procedures like facelifts, The Lifestyle Lift, Botox, collagen injections and liposuction are all available choices. Cosmetic surgery being as common as it is now, some people desire radical changes – trying to look 25 when they’re 60, for example. In most such cases, surgery leaves behind that artificial ‘pulled’ appearance. As much as we love the younger and tighter look, the incisions and that ‘plastic’ look aren’t really desirable outcomes. Looking young is not only about looking good. People are searching for ways to feel younger and healthier as well. Next in the row Speaking of diets, are all ‘fats’ evil? Studies have shown that some types of essential fatty acids are very beneficial to your health, particularly the Omega-3 group of fatty acids. Not only does they have anti-aging effects, they also exhibit significant correlation with reduced risks of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, bone loss, Crohn’s disease, cancers of the breast, colon and prostate and rheumatoid arthritis.

So, is Omega-3 a ‘miracle’ cure

Omega-3 is by no means a miracle cure. Omega-3 fatty acids encourage the production of body chemicals that help control inflammation in the joints, the bloodstream, and the tissues. As essential as it is for us, Omega-3 acids are not produced by our bodies; and surprisingly missing in many people’s regular diets. Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in foods like walnuts, some fruits and vegetables, and coldwater fish such as herring, mackerel, sturgeon, and anchovies.  Available Forms As it is not produced by our body, Omega-3 fatty acids can be taken in the form of fish oil capsules. The other available forms are flaxseed and flaxseed oil. Whole flaxseed must be ground and used within 24-hours - otherwise the ingredients lose their ‘activity’. Flaxseeds are also now available in ground form in a special Mylar package so that the components in the flaxseeds stay active.  In conclusion, we’ll leave you with a word of caution - be sure to buy Omega-3 fatty acid supplements made by established companies who certify that their products are free of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and cadmium.

Are Crows Feet Botox Treatments Really Effective?

You might disagree, but hear me out on this - I know that many people still hold onto the belief that crows feet Botox treatments are the only effective way to get effective results, but there are actually safer ways in which to go about attaining younger looking skin. This type of treatment can be extremely harmful to you if you are not extremely careful, why would you put yourself at risk?

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the use of collagen and Botox injections over the years, and with good reason. Injected collagen runs the risk of allergic reactions, and immune system dysfunction because the collagen that is derived for the treatments isn’t derived from humans. It comes mainly from cattle, swine, and chickens.

One major problem that you could come across with animal derived collagen is that if the animal was improperly tested for diseases transferable to humans then you could be at risk. Mad cow disease with your treatment today Mrs. Smith? There are also problems associated with crows feet Botox treatments that have caused many a concern throughout the medical profession.

What happens when they give you one of these treatments is that the injected compound paralyzes the muscle in the area where you are having the problem. Once paralyzed the muscle sags, and pulls on the skin that covers it which effectively smooths out the fine lines and wrinkles. It is a clinical procedure because there has to be a great deal of precision used.

Now there is somewhat of an uproar over the use of crows feet Botox alternatives in over the counter creams. Now I have already stated that the treatment has to be very precise in order not to affect the wrong muscle groups, which could simply worsen your appearance. People should not be allowed to use a formula at home that causes paralysis of the facial muscles, because problems are bound to occur.

As a matter of fact the Food and Drug Administration, which oversees the cosmetics industry here, has told the creators of these alternative creams that if their products are truly having the same effect as Botox then they we going to classify the ingredient as a drug, and ban it to clinical use only. This is how serious the problems related to these compounds really are.

If you want to get the same wrinkle reducing effect as crows feet Botox treatments without any of the danger, then what you should try as a healthy alternative are products that contain the ingredients Functional Keratin, and Phytessence Wakame sea kelp extract. What these will do is increase the amount of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid that is in your skin.

So there you have it. As these foundational tissues significantly increase you will see a remarkable change in your appearance. It will not exactly happen overnight but it will happen, and when you are back to looking young again it’s easy and inexpensive to stay that way. Leave the crows feet Botox treatments alone, and try the safe alternative that will have you looking better than you ever dared dream.
